Founded in 2000 by Michael Deem, Echo Salon is a pillar of the Grand Rapids Heartside Business District.  

 

Brandi Rinehart managed the growing salon since 2009, developing a rich tradition of customer service and styling excellence. In 2017, Melissa Looman assumed the reigns of ownership and management of Echo. Brandi remains one of Echo's most valued stylists. Melissa is a graduate of Douglas J Aveda Institute Grand Rapids (2011) with 6 years experience as a professional stylist. She envisions Echo Salon to be a warm environment where guests feel comfortable and cared for.

Team Member

At Echo Salon, we enhance and inspire inner beauty with outer beauty. We believe in providing the highest possible level of service to our guests.

We are not currently hiring any new team members. However, we are always accepting the resumes and cover letters of great candidates who feel a connection to Echo Salon's culture.

Please drop off a resume with a cover letter and a printed portfolio or link to online portfolio (professional Instagram or Facebook pages are acceptable) in person at Echo Salon. 




Cancellation Policy

Echo Salon requests a credit card in order to reserve an appointment.

In the event that you would need to cancel or reschedule a reserved appointment Echo Salon requires 24 hours notice. If 24 hours notice is not given for a cancellation, the reserved credit card will be charged 50% of the service that was scheduled. 

Please be aware that if you are more than 15 minutes late for your appointment, we may not be able to provide the service for which you have been scheduled for and a cancellation fee will apply.

Medical and family emergencies are exceptions.

This policy was created because our stylists are paid by commission. When a guest misses an appointment, stylists do not receive pay for that time. Thank you for respecting our team members as much as we do.

Children Policy
For the safety and relaxation of all our guests, please only bring children who have scheduled appointments.

Redo Services
At Echo Salon, we guarantee our services, so if a service does not meet your expectations, we offer redo appointments. Guests may call to schedule a redo within one week of the original appointment. Redo services must be booked within a week of this call. Echo Salon reserves the right to charge for any products used during the redo service.

Returns and Exchanges
We stand behind the product lines we carry. If a retail product purchased at Echo Salon does not meet your expectations, it may be exchanged for another retail product within 14 days of the original purchase date. Please note that we do not offer refunds. All brushes, styling tools, and makeup are final sale.

Parking

 

Usually metered street parking is readily available. We encourage our guests to use the Park Mobile app or we can provide change for the meters.

After 5pm and on the weekends, metered street parking is free. 

CURRENTLY OUR STREET IS UNDERGOING CONSTRUCTION. We apologize for the inconvenience. There is street parking just South and West of us on La Grave or Jefferson.
